28 September - Draws have been made for the Sunday Cup and Shield prelims and are listed below.
Please note that the Wendesday Plate fixtures are provisional for now.
Team Cup competitions are played to normal league format for Wednesday Cup or Plate matches and
old format (three singles plus two doubles) for Sunday Cup matches.
Sunday Shield is 8 x
singles (all single frame) followed by 5 x Scotch Doubles ( all single frame). No player can
play more than 2 frames of singles / 3 frames of doubles. Conferring to be kept to a minimum in
the Scotch Doubles. (See here for a fuller explanation).

The format for Shield matches is 8 x singles (all single frame) followed by 5 x Scotch Doubles ( all single frame). No player can play more than 2 frames of singles / 3 frames of doubles. Conferring to be kept to a minimum in the Scotch Doubles.
The playing format is as follows:
Lag for 1st break then alternate breaks there after.
Singles - both sides naming players 1 to 4 blind, and therefore filling in frames one to
eight on the sheet. Away order changes to 3, 4, 1, 2 for second set of singles.
Singles players need to remain in position eg. number 1, 2, 3, or 4.
Reserves can be brought into second 4 singles if required.
After the singles each Captain then decides on their doubles for the first 4 frames of
doubles. i.e. name your first 2 doubles pairings then same pairings switched for second 2
sets of pairs (reserve players permitted, can bring reserve players in to games sd3 and sd4
if required)
So Doubles is
Home team: Sd1 Sd2 & Sd3 Sd4 stay the same.
Away team: Sd1 Sd2
swap Sd3 Sd4
i.e. SD1 V SD1 sd game 1
SD2 V SD2 sd game 2
SD1 V SD2 sd game 3
SD2 V SD1
sd game 4
5th doubles if required teams nominate players.
